Daily Bangla Times: Saudi Arabia has issued official confirmation that the first day of Eid-ul-Fitr will fall on Friday (April 21). On Thursday, the moon-sighting committee in the kingdom announced that April 20 would be the last day of the month of Ramadan and that Eid-ul-Fitr would be celebrated from Friday onwards.
Oman announced on Thursday that the first day of Eid-ul-Fitr would be celebrated on Saturday, April 22. However, Malaysia will celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr on Saturday as the crescent moon was not observed in the country on Thursday.
