 The price of 12 kg consumer grade liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) has been fixed at Tk 1,393.

The new price will be effective from Thursday (May 2) evening.

As per the new price chart, the consumers have to pay Tk 1,393 for a 12 kg LPG cylinder from the previous Tk 1,442, Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) announced at a press briefing at its Kawran Bazar office on Thursday.

The retail price of LPG is now Tk 116 per kg at the consumer level including VAT.

Meanwhile, the price of 'auto gas' the LPG variant used in motor vehicles, has also seen a lower rate at Tk 63.92 instead of the previous price of Tk 66.21 per litre.
