Daily Bangla Times: Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan said that plying of goods-laden trucks and long vehicle or trailer trucks will remain suspended on highways for three days before Eid to ease the sufferings of Eid holidaymakers.

The minister said this while addressing reporters after a meeting on ensuring a safe and hassle-free journey for homebound people ahead of Eid.

He said we have decided that transportation of construction materials like rods, cement, and sand will be closed for three days before Eid. Apart from these, daily goods carrying trucks will run.

On the occasion of Eid, police forces, women police and plainclothes police will be deployed along with providing night security in the markets and shopping malls to ensure smooth movement of general people, he added.
