LPG price hiked

Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has increased the price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) for the month of September. The new prices will be effective from 6:00pm today. The price of a 12 kg LPG has been increased by Tk 144 to Tk 1,284.

Chairman of BERC Nurul Amin announced the new rate at a conference in the hall of BERC on Sunday afternoon.

According to the new price, the price of per kg LP gas is now Tk 107.01 and 12 kg is at Tk 1284. The price of auto-gas per liter has been fixed at Tk 58.87.

Last August, the price of 12 kg LPG was Tk 1140, and the price of auto gas was Tk 52.17 per litre. July saw the lowest rate at Rs 46.49 per liter. And the price of 12 kg cylinder was Tk 999.

At this time, the members of the commission Muhammad Yamin Chowdhury, Dr. Md. Helal Uddin, Abul Khair, Aminur Rahman and BERC Secretary Barrister Md. Khalilur Rahman Khan were present.
