Taskin dropped out from USA series

An injury pushes Bangladesh pacer Taskin Ahmed into uncertainty about whether he will be able to take part in the upcoming T20 World Cup or not. But Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) does not want to lose hope but is willing to wait until the last time.

However, he will not participate in the three-match T20 series against the USA in preparation for the world tournament as he has been dropped out from the team for his injury concern.

Another pacer Hasan Mahmud would be called for his alternative, said a BCB source.

Meanwhile, Taskin will go with the team even after not being able to play. He will receive treatment there. He will then play in the World Cup if he comes round of the injury. In contrast, he will have to return to the country.

Bangladesh team will depart the country on May 15 to play the three-match T20 series in Texas's Houston on May 21, 23, and 25. That will be their last preparation before the World Cup.
