Bangladesh 324 all out in first innings

Sports Desk: Left-arm spinner Jomel Warrican took the remaining two Bangladeshi wickets early on the second day as the hosts were bowled out for 324 runs in their first innings in Chattogram on Friday.

Warrican dismissed overnight batsman Nayeem Hasan for 26 before he trapped Mustafizur Rahman in front for naught three balls later to bowl out the Tigers within the fifth over of second day’s play.

Taijul Islam remained unbeaten on 39 as Warrican finished with 4-62, his best bowling figure in Test cricket.

Earlier, Bangladesh reached 315-8 on the first day thanks to Mominul Haque who struck 120 off 167 balls while Imrul Kayes and Sakib al Hasan made 44 and 34 respectively.

Pacer Shannon Gabriel made the most of the damage in Bangladesh innings with 4-70, taking four quick wickets to bring the visitors back in the contest until a late partnership of Taijul and Nayeem took back the momentum once again.
