Daily Bangla Times: Five Bangladeshis were killed and two others were in a road accident in Cape Town of South Africa. Their identities could not be known immediately. 

The accident took place around 9:00 am (local time) on Friday (February 24).

It was learned that seven Bangladeshis were going from Johannesburg to Cape Town by a car on Friday morning. On the way, a lorry hit the car carrying them, leaving five of them died on the spot.

Two more Bangladeshis were seriously injured in the incident. They have been admitted to a local hospital. It was initially reported that four of the deceased were from Feni while one from Noakhali district.

Director General (Africa Division) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Tariqul Islam confirmed this to the media.
