BNP announces 48-hr non-stop blockade from Sunday morning

After two days' break, the BNP and like-minded parties have announced another 48-hour countrywide blockade from 6:00am on Sunday (November 12) to 6:00am on Tuesday (November 14) to press home their one point anti-government demand,

BNP Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi announced the programme appearing at a virtual press conference on Thursday afternoon.

Besides, he called for offering munajat and doa at all mosques in the country on Friday seeking blessings of the almighty for the party leaders and workers killed in the ongoing movement.

The mass media vehicles, ambulances and vehicles carrying oxygen cylinders will remain out of the purview of blockade programme.

Rizvi said their 365 leaders and workers were arrested during the last 24 hours across the country. Thirteen cases were filed against them where 1,563 people were made accused.

Besides, more than 50 people were injured in the attacks by ruling party leaders and workers at different places of the country.
